‘Parents’ function in child education vital’

PARENTS play a pivotal role in their youngsters’ schooling and contribute to the attainment of Vision 2030, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Professor Paul Mavima has stated. At the same time, he made the remarks final week as addressing mother and father and teachers at some stage in an excursion of Kuwadzana 2 High School in Harare wherein the network operating with the school are wearing out numerous projects aimed at enhancing the learning surroundings. In her address, Kuwadzana 2 High School head Mrs. Mary Mupandawana counseled the SDC for all of the developments on the faculty. “So some distance, they (SDC) have built the A’ Level technological know-how laboratory, Food Technology block, Agriculture color and now they are operating on this contemporary management block,” she stated. SDC chairperson Mrs. Jeiel Sikurai appealed to Government for the assistance inside the finishing touch of the management block. “Our appeal to the Honourable Minister is for donations, especially roofing cloth,” she stated. “As a committee, we are now having demanding situations with the procurement of building fabric due to ever-rising fees.”
