PARENTS play a pivotal role in their youngsters’ schooling and contribute to attaining Vision 2030, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Professor Paul Mavima has stated. At the same time, he made the remarks final week as addressing mother and father and teachers at some stage in an excursion of Kuwadzana 2 High School in Harare wherein the network operating with the school is wearing out numerous projects to enhance the learning surroundings. The school government working with the community has built several blocks among different initiatives, including nicely-prepared technological know-how laboratory blocks, an agriculture block, domestic economics block wherein steel paintings, art, and other practical instructions are undertaken.
Speaking after the excursion, Minister Mavima recommended the network and the faculty authorities for partnership to improve the getting-to-know surroundings for the students. “What I even have seen here is commendable. I am satisfied with the commitment proven by parents operating with the faculty authorities; they realized that a faculty is a basis of countrywide improvement,” he stated.
In her address, Kuwadzana 2 High School head Mrs. Mary Mupandawana counseled the SDC for all of the developments on the faculty. “So some distance, they (SDC) have built the A’ Level technological know-how laboratory, Food Technology block, Agriculture color, and are now operating on this contemporary management block,” she stated. SDC chairperson Mrs. Jeiel Sikurai appealed to the government for assistance with the finishing touch of the management block. “Our appeal to the Honourable Minister is for donations, especially roofing cloth,” she stated. “As a committee, we are now having demanding situations with procuring building fabric due to ever-rising fees.”
